THE MAN OF MY DREAMS Curtis Sittenfield

Possibly Giving up On:

EVERYTHING IS ILLUMINATED Jonathan S. Foer

Number of Overdue Library Books:

5

So, I'm on pace to read 75 books. I'm cool with this, because I think I can pick it up and plan to be at the 50 book-mark (ha! punny!) by the end of June. So, I need to read 12.5 books in May and then another 12.5 books in June.

Totes do-able.

What are you reading? Have you read more than 25 books this year? Do you track your reading as anal-ly as I do?

I'm reading a novel called Beginner's Greek, about a love-struck guy. It's sort of boring, alas. No wonder I found it in the remainder bin at B&N.

How do you choose what you are going to read, and have you thought about a 5 star system incase we are thinking of reading any of your finished books?

I do not track the books I've read but now I'm REALLY wishing I had. In fact, I almost wept with regret when I read about Moonrat's Book Book, where she's written down everything she's ever read. I had a go at capturing at Shelfari but there are so many I know I'm forgetting.

I read about 3 or 4 books a week. As a former editor, fast reading is an occupational necessity. It also means stuff doesn't stick with me as long so I can always reread and get new stuff out of a book.

Holy crap you are well on your way! I know I don't make time to read 100 books *shame on me!* However at the moment I choose to live through you! I'm reading a book titled "Sucks to be Me" you can learn more about it tomorrow on my post Tuesday Twist :)

hi

I love your blog.

I am finishing up Blackout Girl (snore) and after reading a few books by Richard Dawkins I thought it might be interesting to read the Langage of God (no, not a religious book). Thought it would be good to get a feel from both sides of the issue.

I am using your book list as future suggestions. Thanks!

Wow!! You are a busy lil reader aren't you!? I haven't read any of the books on your list except for "The Memory Keeper's Daughter," which I enjoyed. I currently attempting to read some book in the "Eye of the World" series. I agreed to read it because it's my brothers fav and he agreed to read Twilight. Haha. He scolded me yesterday cause he's almost done with Twilight and I'm 5 pages into his awful lil sci-fi book. Ugh.

Dude! You make me so jealous with your reading.. I haven't done any lately.. I actually posted a bit about that tonight. I'm gonna have to copy down some of the books you read..

Yeah, I've read more than 25 books - which usually means I'm not writing as much as I should. I don't know if it's anal, but I keep a tally of books I've read over on my blog. I'm currently reading Nightlife by Rob Thurman. So far it's a pretty good book, but since my writing has picked up again, my reading is slacking off. Reading time and writing time is like a tug-of-war with me. LOL
I just finished a murder-mystery that was only "eh." I've challenged myself to read 50 books this year, and I need to get a couple quick reads under my belt to get back on track. I think I'm two or three titles behind schedule. Not too bad, right?

Off to the library and bookstore today!
